This page is an unofficial visual homage to SETI@home (1999–2020), the Berkeley volunteer-computing project that turned idle home machines into a search for radio technosignatures. Many of us left that screensaver running for hundreds of hours. This is a thank-you to that feeling — not a replica of the official client, and not a continuation of the project.
A drifting star field, a receiver-style spectrogram, a time–frequency waterfall, and a slow work-unit theater. Patterns are driven by layered noise and incommensurate oscillators so the picture does not obviously repeat on a short cycle. The listening-post drone is synthesized in the browser (Web Audio). A separate Study stream overlay (Stellardrone, CC BY, Internet Archive) may play on teslajedi.com/deeplisten; it is independent of the drone mute key.
If the original project moved you, look toward groups still doing the work: the SETI Institute, Breakthrough Listen, and active BOINC science projects. This page computes nothing for them.
